وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ

Sahih International

(44:17) And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger,

(44:17) And indeed We tried before them Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people, when there came to them a noble Messenger [i.e. Musa (Moses)],

(44:17) And verily We tried before them Pharaoh's folk, when there came unto them a noble messenger,
