Quran surah Al An'am 149 in english translation

Sahih International

(6:149) Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(6:149) Say: "With Allah is the perfect proof and argument, (i.e. the Oneness of Allah, the sending of His Messengers and His Holy Books, etc. to mankind), had He so willed, He would indeed have guided you all."

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(6:149) Say - For Allah's is the final argument - Had He willed He could indeed have guided all of you.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(6:149) Say: "With Allah is the argument that reaches home: if it had been His will, He could indeed have guided you all."

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(6:149) Say: Then Allah's is the conclusive argument; so if He please, He would certainly guide you all.

Dr. Ghali

(6:149) Say, "So to Allah is the consummately proclaimed argument; then, if He had (so) decided, He would indeed have guided you altogether."

Ali Unal

(6:149) Say: "(As against what you argue) God’s is the final, conclusive argument. And had He so willed (and compelled you act in a certain way, rather than letting you associate partners with Him and make unlawful what He has made lawful) He would have guided you all together to the truth.

Amatul Rahman Omar

(6:149) Say, `Then with Allâh is the conclusive argument. Had He (enforced) His will, He would have surely guided you all.´

Literal

(6:149) Say: "To God (is) the eloquent, the proof/argument, so if He wanted/willed, He would have guided you all/altogether ."91

Ahmed Ali

(6:149) Say: "To God belongs the consummate argument. Had He willed He would surely have guided all of you aright."

A. J. Arberry

(6:149) Say: 'To God belongs the argument conclusive; for had He willed, He would have guided you all.'

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

(6:149) Say thou: with Allah resteth the argument evident. Wherefore, had He so willed, He would have guided you all.

Maulana Mohammad Ali

(6:149) Those who are polytheists say: If Allah pleased we would not have set up (aught with Him) nor our fathers, nor would have made anything unlawful. Thus did those before them reject (the truth) until they tasted Our punishment. Say: Have you any knowledge so you would bring it forth to us? You only follow a conjecture and you only tell lies.

Muhammad Sarwar

(6:149) Say, "Final authority belongs only to God. Had He wanted, He would have given you all guidance".

Hamid Abdul Aziz

(6:149) Say, "Allah´s is the final (searching, conclusive, decisive) argument; and had He pleased He would have guided you all."

Faridul Haque

(6:149) Say, Then only Allah™s argument is the complete one

Talal Itani

(6:149) Say, “To God belongs the conclusive argument. Had He willed, He would have guided you all.”

Ahmed Raza Khan

(6:149) Say, “Then only Allah’s argument is the complete one; so had He willed, He would have guided you all.”

Wahiduddin Khan

(6:149) Say, "God alone has the conclusive proof. If He had willed, He could have guided every one of you."

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

(6:149) Say: "With Allah is the perfect proof and argument; had He so willed, He would indeed have guided you all."

Ali Quli Qarai

(6:149) Say, ‘To Allah belongs the conclusive argument. Had He wished, He would have surely guided you all.’

Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish

(6:149) Say: 'Allah alone has the conclusive proof. Had He willed, He would have guided you all'
