وَأَنْتَ حِلٌّ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ

Quran surah Al Balad 2 in english translation

Sahih International

(90:2) And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(90:2) And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah).

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(90:2) And thou art an indweller of this city -

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(90:2) And thou art a freeman of this City;-

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(90:2) And you shall be made free from obligation in this city--

Dr. Ghali

(90:2) And you (i.e; the Prophet) are an inhabitant of this country.

Ali Unal

(90:2) – And you (O Messenger) are a dweller in this city. –

(90:2) When you will surely alight (as a conqueror) in this city.
