قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَآرِبُ أُخْرَىٰ

Sahih International

(20:18) He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(20:18) He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses."

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(20:18) He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(20:18) He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."

(20:18) He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it.
