1 Response to "Quran surah Al Isra 5 (QS 17: 5) in arabic and english translation"

  1. It is regrettable that all the translators failed to convey the right grammatical tense meant through the "past simple" in these verses. Don't these gentlemen know that in the Holy Qur'an the "past verb" may indicate not only the past itself, but sometimes "the present" { الآن جئت بالحق } البقرة/ 71, the past-the present-and the future at the same time as in :إنّ الصلاة كانت على المؤمنين كتابًا موقوتًا , and finally to ascertain a fact to happen in the future as in: وفتخت السماء فكانت ابواابا .
فمن اجتهد و اصاب فله اجران و من اجتهد و اخطأ فله أجر. و على كل حال جازى الله الجميع خيرا.
