وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ

Sahih International

(69:44) And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(69:44) And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah),

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(69:44) And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(69:44) And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,

(69:44) And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings,

(69:44) And if he had talked up against Us any (Literally: some) (false) sayings.
