Sahih International

(86:4) There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(86:4) There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.)
