Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(38:75) (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?"

Amatul Rahman Omar

(38:75) (God) said, `O Iblîs! what prevented you from submitting to him whom I have created with My own special powers (bestowing him with the maximum attributes). Is it that you seek to be great or is it that you are (really) of the highly proud ones (above obeying My command)?´
