فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ إِنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا



Quran surah Al kahf 6 in english translation


Sahih International


(18:6) Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,


(18:6) Perhaps, you, would kill yourself (O Muhammad SAW) in grief, over their footsteps (for their turning away from you), because they believe not in this narration (the Quran).

(18:6) Yet it may be, if they believe not in this statement, that thou (Muhammad) wilt torment thy soul with grief over their footsteps.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali


(18:6) Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message.
