إِلَّا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلًا

Sahih International

(4:98) Except for the oppressed among men, women and children who cannot devise a plan nor are they directed to a way -

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(4:98) Except the weak ones among men, women and children who cannot devise a plan, nor are they able to direct their way.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(4:98) Except the feeble among men, and the women, and the children, who are unable to devise a plan and are not shown a way.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(4:98) Except those who are (really) weak and oppressed - men, women, and children - who have no means in their power, nor (a guide-post) to their way.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(4:98) Except the weak from among the men and the children who have not in their power the means nor can they find a way (to escape);

(4:98) Except (the ones) deemed weak among the men and women and newborns (who) are unable (to contrive) a device and are not guided to a way.
