إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُمْ بِأَلْفٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ

Sahih International

(8:9) [Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(8:9) (Remember) when you sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): "I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other (following one another) in succession."

(8:9) When ye sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): I will help you with a thousand of the angels, rank on rank.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(8:9) Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks."

(8:9) When you sought aid from your Lord, so He answered you: I will assist you with a thousand of the angels following one another.
