أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ

Quran surah Al Muminun 61 in english translation

Sahih International

(23:61) It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(23:61) It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on].

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(23:61) These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(23:61) It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(23:61) These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them.

Dr. Ghali

(23:61) Those (come) swiftly with charitable (deeds), and they are outstrippers to them.

(23:61) It is those (illustrious ones) who hasten to do all kinds of virtuous deeds, and they are in a virtuous competition with one another in doing them.
