وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنْثِ الْعَظِيمِ

Sahih International

(56:46) And they used to persist in the great violation,

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(56:46) And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.)

(56:46) And used to persist in the awful sin.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(56:46) And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!
