قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ

Quran surah Ghafir 48 in english translation

Sahih International

(40:48) Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(40:48) Those who were arrogant will say: "We are all (together) in this (Fire)! Verily Allah has judged between (His) slaves!"

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(40:48) Those who were proud say: Lo! we are all (together) herein. Lo! Allah hath judged between (His) slaves.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(40:48) Those who had been arrogant will say: "We are all in this (Fire)! Truly, Allah has judged between (his) Servants!"

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(40:48) Those who were proud shall say: Surely we are all in it: surely Allah has judged between the servants.

Dr. Ghali

(40:48) The ones who waxed proud will say, "Surely every one of us is in it; surely Allah has already judged among (His) bondmen."

(40:48) Those who were arrogant (and oppressed others) will say: "We are all together in this (Fire)! God has indeed judged between the servants (and all must face a reckoning and meet their deserts)."

(40:48) Those who sought to be great will say, `Now we are all (adjudged to suffer) in it. Verily, Allâh has already passed (His) true judgment between (His) servants.´

Literal

(40:48) Those who became arrogant said: "We (E) all/each (are) in it, that truly God had judged/ruled between the worshippers/slaves ."

(40:48) The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures."
