وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيمًا

Sahih International

(4:156) And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(4:156) And because of their (Jews) disbelief and uttering against Maryam (Mary) a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse);

(4:156) And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny;

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(4:156) That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge;
