فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ

Sahih International

(37:89) And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(37:89) And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)."

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(37:89) Then said: Lo! I feel sick!

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(37:89) And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"

(37:89) Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these).
