وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Sahih International

(31:25) And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(31:25) And if you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them: "Who has created the heavens and the earth," they will certainly say: "Allah." Say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allah!" But most of them know not.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(31:25) If thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they would answer: Allah. Say: Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(31:25) If thou ask them, who it is that created the heavens and the earth. They will certainly say, "Allah". Say: "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(31:25) And if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say: Allah. Say: (All) praise is due to Allah; nay! most of them do not know.

(31:25) And indeed in case you ask them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" indeed they will definitely say, " Allah." Say, "Praise be to Allah." No indeed, (but) most of them do not know.

(31:25) If you should ask them who has created the heavens and the earth, they would certainly say, "God." Say: "All praise and gratitude are for God," (seeing that even those who associate partners with God feel compelled to acknowledge Him as the Creator; that recognition indeed destroys the foundations of polytheism). But most of them do not know (what that recognition of theirs implies).

(31:25) And if you ask them, `Who has created the heavens and the earth?´ They will certainly answer, `Allâh.´ Say, `All type of perfect and true praise belongs to Allâh!´ But most of them do not know (the meanings implied in it).

(31:25) And if (E) you asked/questioned them: "Who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth?" They will say (E): "God." But most of them do not know.

(31:25) If you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely answer: "God." Say: "All praise be to God." But most of them do not understand.
