فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Quran surah Al Baqarah 181 in english translation

Sahih International

(2:181) Then whoever alters the bequest after he has heard it - the sin is only upon those who have altered it. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(2:181) Then whoever changes the bequest after hearing it, the sin shall be on those who make the change. Truly, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(2:181) And whoso changeth (the will) after he hath heard it - the sin thereof is only upon those who change it. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(2:181) If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the guilt shall be on those who make the change. For Allah hears and knows (All things).

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(2:181) Whoever then alters it after he has heard it, the sin of it then is only upon those who alter it; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

(2:181) So who exchanged/replaced/substituted it after what he heard it, so but his sin/crime (is) on those who exchange/replace/substitute it, that God (is) hearing/listening, knowledgeable.

(2:181) And any one who changes the will, having heard it, shall be guilty and accountable; for God hears all and knows everything.
