إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا

Sahih International

(76:27) Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(76:27) Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard).

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(76:27) Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(76:27) As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.
