كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا

Sahih International

(19:79) No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(19:79) Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell);

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(19:79) Nay, but We shall record that which he saith and prolong for him a span of torment.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(19:79) Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment.

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(19:79) By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement

Dr. Ghali

(19:79) Not at all! We will soon write down whatever he says, and We will grant him an extension (Literally: extend him an extension) of torment.
