فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَيِّنًا لَعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ



Quran surah Taha 44 in english translation


Sahih International


(20:44) And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,


(20:44) And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah.

(20:44) And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear.

(20:44) But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah).
