Sahih International

(23:106) They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(23:106) They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people.

(23:106) They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk.

(23:106) They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
