وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ ۖ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ

Quran surah Ya Sin 78 in english translation

Sahih International

(36:78) And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(36:78) And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?"

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(36:78) And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away?

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(36:78) And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?"

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(36:78) And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten?

(36:78) And he gave to us an example/proverb, and he forgot his creation, he said: "Who revives/makes alive the bones and (while) it is decayed/decomposed?"
