وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

Sahih International

(34:35) And they said, "We are more [than the believers] in wealth and children, and we are not to be punished."

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan,

(34:35) And they say: "We are more in wealth and in children, and we are not going to be punished."

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(34:35) And they say: We are more (than you) in wealth and children. We are not the punished!

Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(34:35) They said: "We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished."

Mohammad Habib Shakir

(34:35) And they say: We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished.

Dr. Ghali

(34:35) And they said, "We are more (than you) in riches and children, and in no way will we be tormented".

(34:35) And they said: "We are more abundant (than you) in wealth and children and so we are not (the ones) to be punished (as you tell us to happen in the Hereafter)."
